Breach of Trust

When DiAnn Mills told us in a class in October she had written a suspense novel, I thought no way. DiAnn is a historical romance novelist and nominated for a Christy, the top honor in writing. There were no cut-throats and daggers in those novels. They were all so sweet and full of innocence and God's love.

Was I ever surprised when she sent me an advanced copy of Breach of Trust, published by Tyndale House. I could say she sucked me in with the first sentence and I could not put it down.

Usually, I can spot the villain in the first ten chapters. Well, I guessed every character in the book but the real one. DiAnn you did an excellent job of weaving an interesting and intriguing story. I give this book ten stars.

When I read one of her books or take a class she is teaching, I come away with a lot of information. She has taught me so much about writing and I don't think I could do any of this without people like her.

If you want to be glued to a book, this is a good one. It will be released in March 2009. I'm anxious to read the next one.

New Pen Name

Very shortly, hopefully this week, I will have my new web site up and running. It will be www.kattanderson.com.

For some time I had been thinking of a pen name. A couple of weeks ago I came up with Katt Anderson. I will be having a new email, kattanderson@kattanderson.com and will be getting a blog together also.

What have I been doing the past weeks? We have been on a weeks vacation with friends. Two other couples went with us to Tybee Island, GA. We rented a condo on the beach and loved every minute of it. Tybee is close enough to drive into Savannah to eat or do sight-seeing. We did both.

The best places to eat in Savannah, according to this group, was The Pirates House and Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House.

In The Pirates House, we ate in the oldest standing structure in Savannah, The Herb House. The food was delicious and it was an honor to be sitting in the oldest structure.

Mrs. Wilkes is always good. The service is wonderful and we ate with two couples from Wisconsin. Ten people always eat at one table. We all stuffed and felt miserable so we walked to Factors Walk to work some of the fat off. We watched the ships come into harbor and ate Banana Pudding Ice Cream.

Next week I will go to Asheville, NC for October Retreat, a retreat for writers. A couple of friends from Ohio will be picking me up Sunday afternoon. It should be a very profitable week. I have worked hard to get more of my novel completed. I would like to have all 80,000 words finished by Sunday, but I doubt that I will, but I will be trying.

Try the web site about the middle of the week. I hope to have it finished by then. Have a good week.
