Beautiful Day

This morning I awoke to a sunny, cold day. It was 15 degrees when I got up. brrrrrrr Do we ever remember these cold days when it is in the 90's in the summer? I don't think so! It is better not to complain about anything we have no control over. God knows what is best for us.

On Sunday morning, early, my husband and I will be leaving to visit our children. Our son lives in Benton, KY, outside of Paducah, and our daughter lives in Nashville, Music City USA. We will stop someplace along the way to go to church and then go on part of the way. We intend to take a leisurely trip across Kentucky. We have never done that before. Also my husband will work Saturday night, so he will not be able to drive very far.

I will miss going to our home congregation. One little 9 year old is my best buddy. He and I are both Harry Potter fans. He became very upset with me when he found out I had already ordered the next book. As an adult, I can read the book and know it is fantasy and nothing like that could really happen. Children are different. If your child is into Harry Potter, be sure you talk to him/her and tell them how much of a fantasy it is. My friend's mother does not read Harry Potter and she turned him over to me to talk to about the fantasy of the book. He is a sweetheart and I will miss him Sunday.

Yesterday I needed something to add more excitement to my book. I have a very good friend who will talk things out with me and I really lean on her a lot. I called her and we talked about what could happen to bring in a new character who would stir the waters a little. We came upon a good plot and last night I could not wait to get it started. It turned out to be a good start for a good plot. Thanks Janice!

If I get anything accomplished today, I need to get started. Hopefully I can get most of our laundry finished today and start packing. Everyone, enjoy this day that God has given you. You will not receive another one just like this. This is a one of a kind, so enjoy and be thankful.
