Bookz

Most of today's literature, I never read. That may be a shock to some, but the language is so filthy, and the descriptions so graphic, that I don't care to put that trash in my brain. I have always said that I was too young to read that garbage.

There are some authors that I like their plots, but I will not invest in their book. Okay, so I am a prude! No, I am a Christian. That makes a difference because I believe my mind must be pure, as does my body.

Okay, what do I read? I read books that inspire me to be a better Christian, or a novel that is Christian based. I don't like to see a couple hopping in and out of bed with different partners, so I read a book that does not have that kind of thing going on.

Recently I told a friend of mine that I look at the publisher before I buy a book. I just finished a book by Wanda Brunstetter, Looking for a Miracle. I love reading about the Amish. It's a very good, light book.

Another of my favorite authors is Christine Lynxwiler. I have read Arkansas and I am looking forward to reading Promise Me Always. She is a very good author, also and one that makes you feel a part of her books. In Arkansas, she was writing about the male main character, bringing the female main character, a box of donuts. Now, I am diabetic and on a diet, so there were no donuts in my house, but I closed the book and started to the kitchen to get a donut. I could taste that donut.

Another one of my favorite authors is Wilburta Arrowood. Her book For the Love of a Child is one of my favorites. It is published by Publishing Designs, Inc. in Huntsville, AL. All the way through, I laughed, cried and encouraged the main character.

There are several publishers that I look for when I read. In my estimation, Barbour Publishing and Heartsong Presents are the best around for Christian Romance novels. They are not so deep that you get lost, but are light enough to keep your interest up. When I go to purchase a book, I look at the publisher first.

By reading these books, I feel that is the type of book that I want to write. I want something to make you, the reader, a better person, and to learn that there are others out there that feel like you do. I want my life, and my books, to be an example to glorify God.

Have a wonderful day.
