Different things

During our lifetime, our live takes so many twists and turns. Today, this is on my mind, since I have a very good friend who is extremely ill. He and his wife have been close friends for several years. It hurts so much to see them go through this turn in their lives.

We make friends and lose friends and family during our life. We try to be resilient to these events, but it is so hard. I always thought I had to be strong for the rest of the family, but I was never strong for me. I felt I had to put on a face for the public, but I grieved in private. That is not good. I am so glad that my friend can be herself with me as she tells me about her husband and what he is going through. That is healthy. Denial hurts us in so many ways.

Now, to more happy thoughts. We in Tennessee were so happy to see the Lady Vols win the national championship last night. Pat Summit is a great coach. Go Vols!
