Too Much Going On
Too much has been going on in my household recently. Too much sickness, surgery and accidents.
My writing has had to take a back seat with all that is happening. First, my mother was sick and during her illness, she fell. Nothing hurt except a knot on her head. Then she fell again. It worries me when she falls so much in one week.
My daughter-in-law's mother has had open heart surgery for valve replacement in two of her valves in her heart. She is doing well and we do not live close to them, so that is an extra concern. She is such a sweet lady. We are so blessed to have in-law families that are so close to us. We call them our "extended family" because that is just what they are. My husband and I are very close to both the Riley's and the Turpin's. We are so lucky to have them in our family.
Tomorrow I start taking a writing workshop. I am so excited to get started with it. There is so much that I do not know about writing, but I am hanging in. A wonderful woman is in my critique group and she is constantly pointing things out to me that I need to do better. Her style is different than mine, but I love what she writes. I am still enjoying writing, even with the million mistakes that I make.
The most relaxing music for me to listen to is Celtic Women. They are phenomenal women with voices that blend so well together. They give me so much energy when I write with them singing.
It's about time for me to close this blog today. Have a wonderful day and may God bless you.
