Okay, What Do I Do Now!
At this moment, I am correcting my novel/novella. I don't know which it will be. It started out as a novel, then a novella and now it is more than a novella and not quite a novel. A novella is between 25,000 and 30,000 words. I have over 30,000 and still adding more.
The lady who is critiquing my manuscript is almost finished. I have not caught up to where she is yet. It is harder for me to correct the mistakes than I thought it would be. Of course, there are other things that hinder me from staying focused.
Today I hope to finish re-writing the first three chapters. Then I will print them out on good paper, along with a synopsis of the whole work and have it ready to take with me to Asheville, North Carolina next week.
I will be attending the Blue Ridge Mountain Christian Writers Conference beginning Sunday. There will be three and one-half days of classes. I am really looking forward to it and dreading sitting for so long. My knees do not work well after I sit for a while. They seem to have a mind of their own.
It will be so much fun to network with other writers. Some of them will be novices like myself and some will be experienced writers. I know I can learn from a lot of them. This is very exciting to think about how much I can learn and accomplish.
I hope also that all mothers had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday.
