Wnter Came Back

Winter came back this week-end. Saturday we had snow. This is typical for March in East Tennessee. The red buds are beginning to pop out and our dogwoods look like they are wanting to open so badly. I expect they will open this week. The weatherman said we could get to 80 degrees by Saturday. The only thing this weather does for me is to make my allergies worse.

This week-end I did finish "Petticoat Ranch" by Mary Connealy. I laughed at Sophie and her daughters in the wild west. It showed, to me, how strong the women were in the west. The strength of Sophie, Mandy, Beth, Sally and Laura is amazing. As I read the book, I wondered if I would have that strength to do what they did. It is a very funny book.

Also, I finished "Promise Me Always" by Christine Lynxwiler. This book drew me into the Pinky Promise Sisterhood with the other four girls. I like books that end well, and like I think they should. To see how love and caring for someone can work wonders is always encouraging. Everyone had their moments in the book, but it made me cry for joy in the end.

Both of these books are a "must read."

I try to encourage each one of you to enjoy each moment that God gives you. You never know when it can be taken away from you. Live each minute to its fullest and give God thanks for that minute.
