Gone with the Groom
Last night I almost finished reading "Gone with the Groom" by Janice A. Thompson. Usually, I can finish a book in a week, but it has taken me longer than that to read this one. No reflection on the author, it was me. Too much going on in my life.
This is a good light book. Agatha Annie takes on another mystery and has a lot of help from family and friends. It's a very entertaining book. Ms. Thompson keeps you in suspense until the end. Although I lack two chapter, I can pretty well figure out how it ends. I have enjoyed this very much.
Usually, I am onto the culprit before the book is half-way through. The only one I have not known the end before the end, was the latest Harry Potter. It was good not to be able to figure it out. Because of the sleuth in me, I enjoy trying to solve the mystery before the end of a book. My daughter and I always ask each other, "Did you read the end first?" That's no fun! I will have to admit that I have on occasion, but it's not usual.
If you are a regular reader of this blog, you know that I read a lot. My night stand keeps piling up with books. When I finish the one I am reading now, I will probably start on Wanda Brunstetters's "Going Home." I love books about the Amish people. When that is finished, I will be reading "The Spinster Brides of Cactus Corner." This is a collection of four books by four different authors. After that, I have several stacked up to read.
Have a wonderful day!
