The Lord has Given Us Rain

Today is a day to be thankful for the rain we are having. It is a slow drizzle with occasional heavier rain. We need it so badly. The Lord knows when to give us what we need.

Yesterday, or rather last night, I almost completed my second chapter for the newest book I started. If I can let myself go, it will be a very good book. My characters are coming to life, in fact, they are beginning to have a life of their own.

Part of my day was spent catching up on lessons. A woman of my age with four grandchildren. going to school? I must be a very slow learner, but seriously, these will help my writing and my management of my business. It is so much fun to be doing this. At times I feel like a lot is on my shoulders, and then I start writing and I forget it.

The best part is that I now have a cleaning lady. That is wonderful! She is doing the heavy cleaning right now and taking a room at a time. My husband said, "Just that little bit made it feel better." It does give me more time to do what I love to do and that is to write. My hobby may just turn into a job.

This morning, I thought about a sequel to the book I'm writing. It may be a series, "The Sleuths of Hickory Hill." Sounds good anyway. Have a blessed day. I am going to enjoy the rain and make corn relish.
