Praying for Rain

We need rain! Could someone in the west please blow us some? So far this year, we have had a little over eleven inches of rain. Our driest ever! It seems so strange that while Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri and other states are flooding, we are in a drought. Farmers are having a hard time getting hay. Some will not even have two cuttings. Several farmers still raise tobacco, usually by now it is getting big and they start cutting in August. With all the dry weather, it is not growing.

I don't worry about the tobacco as much as I do the food supply. I know I have said this before, but we do need rain for our garden. The Lord will give us what we need.

Last night I was working on a lesson and the question was asked about blogging. Why do I blog? I could think of several reasons, but it does help me in my writing. If I blog every day, I write every day. I try to have a dedicated time to blog, and if I don't in the mornings, forget it. Afternoon is not for blogging.

It's not that I want everyone in the world to know what I'm doing, but I want to practice my writing. There are days when I cannot think of anything to say, like today. You can always talk about the weather.

As I go on my writing journey, I am learning each day. That is what life is about, isn't it? When we stop learning, we stop living. Each day, I read and I write. I read a number of things. Right now I am reading some required reading and a book published by a publisher that I like. The required reading is very good and I am enjoying it.

Now, I am wondering how so many people read my blog. I am impressed that people I don't know read it and I am also humbled by the thought. Thank you who read it. The regular readers are appreciated and the ones I don't know are really appreciated. Thanks so much and have a wonderful day. Pray for us that we may have some rain today.
