My Kind of Book
Last night I had read over half of Wanda Brunstetter's book, "Going Home." As will all of her books, it is very well written and interesting. I like the struggle within Faith, whether to go back to the English world or go remain in the Amish community. That's all I'll tell. It is very good.
For the past two or three years, I have been a big fan of Wanda's. I have purchased almost all of her books and even have one of the first books she wrote. None of her books have ever been anything I wanted to put down when I started reading it.
There are several others that I enjoy that much. Then there are some, on the other hand, that I want to put down. To be kind to everyone, I won't name them.
What do I like? Something that will take me out of my realm and put me in the character's skin. I am trying to find out how to do that in my writing. I have to distance myself when I write, so that I hopefully can do that.
Today, I need to correct a critique and do more writing.
