Life Holds Surprises

Yes, life does hold surprises! Some of them come at the most unsuspecting times. Some are small surprises, and some are large. Life is full of twists and turns.

One of my twists has been my writing. Lately, I have not been able to put many words on paper. That sounds like a "writer's block" to me. Several nights of very little sleep did not help the situation either. Last night, I wrote my next chapter in my mind, so I am ready to get started on it today.

Then, we have some extra head of cattle on our farm. We rent our pasture to a friend. While I'm making coffee, I count his cattle to make sure they are all there. That's something I have done from the time we had a large farm. I knew he had taken away four head the other day. I counted one morning and counted three more head. I counted again and came up with the same number. Now we have six extra head. We have no idea how they got on the farm, or who they belong to. Maybe someone will miss them soon.

What music do you listen to when you write? Maybe you don't listen to music, but I do. My favorite is "Celtic Woman," any CD. I have three, and I love all of them. Having a little Irish blood running through my veins makes me love that music, but it is very relaxing to me.

Here's hoping everyone has a wonderful day. Enjoy each day that God gives you.
