New Year, New Goals

Did you realize that red is a positive color? Well, I may be writing in red all this year. 2008 brings a positive outlook for me. I feel I will write more and be an encouragement to others.

My goals for this year is to write each day. I know I have to put a number of pages or words down, but so far I have not. I would like to write 1,000 words, which would not be too hard to do. My biggest problem is that I procrastinate a lot.

Also, I will be defeating my procrastinating attitude. I will put first things first and get them done before I go to something else. I usually do two or three things at once, which is not good.

This year I will be working on my time management. I am really bad about not finishing something or spending too much time on one thing. I am going to change that this year.

I also plan to write more on this blog. So many times I just put it off and didn't do it. I used a lot of things for reasons why I did not write.

I plan to finish my novel this year, really by February 29. Then I will edit it and send it to my critique group. I will find an agent who will help to find a publisher or tell me I am no good.

Big plans? I don't think so. I know I can do it. I believe that if you put your mind to something, you can do it.
