Study, Study, Study

When I started writing a couple of years ago, I had no idea that I would be studying so much. There is so much reading to do to be a good writer. Well, if I want to be a good writer, I must read, study and write.

Have you ever had a day when you brain went blank? I think they call this writer's block and I must have a good case of it. I need to do word associations to get my brain going and also some brain storming. That always helps.

I am taking a couple of very good courses. One that I needed drastically is Defeating Self-Defeating Behavior. The other is from Writer's Grip and right now I am doing a lesson on Characterizations. Both are very good. I worked yesterday for several hours on the characterization of my characters, friends and family. It helps so much to learn more about the characters you have in your novel. Janice A. Thompson is the instructor for this one and it is very good. Margie Lawson is helping me with my Self-Defeating Behavior class. I can see success for me by taking that class.

Well, with all these classes, I need to get busy writing. Have a super day!
