I Am Slow

I knew I had not been in here for a while, but I was surprised to see how long it had been. Can I get by saying I've been busy? Well, anyway, I guess I have.

This month and last month have turned out to be busy. I have worked on my book and made progress. That is good because I am a slow writer.

I have never felt comfortable writing one chapter, having it critiqued, making changes and going to the next chapter. I felt like I was slowed down even more.

This time I started with power writing. I write as fast as I can, correcting very little mistakes and going on to the next chapter. When I write ten chapters, I will edit my chapters and send to be critiqued. I think that will work best for me and I won't feel like I am stuck writing. I also believe my book will flow better by reading ten chapters before I start the next ten.

I have laid the beginning chapters out and written them. I am starting on the middle now and I know how the ending will be. What fun to be a writer. I can twist people's lives the way I want them. I can make them do what I want them to do and they always use perfect English. How much better can that get?

If you want to control someone, write. You will have a lot of people you can let live or let die. I have killed people off for the first time and it felt good, because I know what will happen in the future.
