Contests

Saturday I bit the bullet and entered my first writing contest. I entered Genesis with American Christian Fiction Writer. It is one of the top writing contests and in my estimation, ACFW is the top writing group to be in. Of course, that is the only one I belong to.

It was hard to make the decision to do enter. My friend kept on telling me to do it. At first I didn't know what to do, then I decided to enter. Now, we play the waiting game.

Like most people, I suspect I will get the lowest score. The object to me is to get feedback from other writers or agents. I feel I am never to old to learn. So, if I get the lowest score, I won't die. I may be a little disheartened, but it won't kill me. I hope I will take the advice and go forward.

Writing is a challenge to me. At first I started writing for therapy, but now I do it for the love of writing. All aspects of writing is intreging. I am already thinking about the next book, which will the the second one in this series.
