Writing More and Better

I'm still in the positive mode and I am writing more and better. That is a big step. Finally the money I have spent in lessons may be paying off a little.

Recently I started a historical novel. It is all fiction, except the race of the people involved. Intreging? Thought so. I don't want to give away my story, so I will say, you will have to wait and see. I have never read a fiction novel about these people.

Yesterday I spent the morning doing research. I had researched on the internet, but never in a public building. It was fun and I learned a lot, mostly about my family. It was all very interesting and I can't wait to get it all on paper. I am obscessed with finishing this book.

The first chapter has been critiqued by some of my critique group and given interesting comments. I do love history, so this has been an added bonus. I still have a little more traveling to do to find out more. Right now I am looking for a time line, something to date my book with. Since my family came into the area sometime in the 1700's, I am pretty sure I can date it with the dates I know.

It will be interesting to put some of my family in the book. I went back through some pictures of tombstones that I had taken. That helped me to gain more knowledge about my family.

Writing is hard work, but also very rewarding. My knowledge is increasing each day that I write. Now, I must get busy. Have a wonderful day!
