Writing as a Job

For several months I have been writing a manuscript, okay, book. It has been slow and I am afraid I became some discouraged. That's part of the business isn't it, discouragement, rejections, and no one taking you seriously? No, not or me!

Today, I have a new outlook on writing. It is a job and I am going to succeed. I am going to publish that book. I am going to be a success. After I finish the one I am working on, I am going to get another one started and another one after that. I can taste this success.

I was told in a class I am taking to make that affirmation in public. Not only did I make it to the class, but I have now put it on the blog.

How am I doing? Better! I have been writing more and I am more relaxed with it. I am getting ready to write a devotional and believe it or not, I am excited about it. I have everything in my mind and I have mulled over it for several days. Now I am ready to put it in the computer and have it critiqued.

Thankfully, we have had rain. The Lord sent it when we needed it. Our garden is coming in now also. I am still old fashioned and I can beans, so we will be doing another run today. We have squash coming out of our ears. It helps with the grocery bill, so I will not complain too much. I am so thankful for all the blessings we receive.
