Calico Canyon

Last week I read Calico Canyon by Mary Connealy. Mary is a very entertaining writer and I waited for the book for weeks. I was away from home when it came in and as soon as I could, I sat down and read it. It was worth the wait.

Mary has a way of bringing characters and their antics to life. I laughed with poor Grace as she tried to adjust to her new home and her attempt to make biscuits. It reminded me of my early married days. I cried with her when she seemed to be neglected. The wedding was so funny and I was rolling with laughter by the time it was finished.

If you read Petticoat Ranch, you will want to read Calico Canyon. Mary continued the life of Sophie in this one. I like to be entertained when I read and this one did it for me. It's funny and serious both at the same time. I don't think you will regret reading it.
