Carolina Carpenter Brides

This week was a busy week and I didn't have much time to read. I did finish one book I had started several weeks ago. I don't know why I put it down and started something else, but I did. That is not a habit that I do much.

Carolina Carpenter Brides is about finding love in a home improvement store. I'll have to be more alert when I am in my home improvement store and see if this really happens.

It is four novella's by four different authors, Janet Benrey, Ron Benrey, Lena Nelson Dooley and Yvonne Lehman. This was the first time I had read anything by Janet and Ron Benrey, but I did enjoy their novellas very much. I have been a fan of Lena Nelson Dooley and Yvonne Lehman for years.

This book takes four different aspect of finding love in a home improvement store. The first one is "How to Refurbish an Old Romance" by Janet Benrey. It shows two people who were acquainted several years before who meet at a home improvement class at the store.

Ron Benrey wrote "Once Upon a Shopping Cart" about two newspaper investigators who have the same assignment to interview someone looking for love. They don't know it but they are interviewing each other. Very good.

"Can You Help Me" by Lena Nelson Dooley is about a lady that mistakes a man as an employee of the store. He does not tell her that he is not an employee. When he does tell her the truth, well you can imagine the mistrust.

Yvonne Lehman wrote ""Caught Red Handed" about a new employee at the home improvement store who thinks a man outside at night is trying to abduct her or something worse. It turns out he is the security guard.

These are so good and well written. My little blob does not do them justice. I did enjoy them though. They are light and short and very entertaining.
