It Has Been Too Long

It has been too long since I wrote last. A lot has happened since July 21.

One thing I am not doing is reading so much. I am writing more or at least I had been writing more. I am getting nearer the completion of my novel and it has taken some turns I did not intend for it to take. Sometimes my mind takes over and runs away. That is what has happened.

The first chapter was edited the other day and I have been re-writing it. That takes a lot of concentration and I still have more to do. My editor lives in Florida and I want to get it to her before the hurricane hits.

Re-writing makes you think about what you are writing and it takes a lot of concentration. I make one big mistake, I tell instead of show. I think I have the idea now what I need to do and I am going to complete it today.

Several things have happened to take me away from the computer lately. My cousin who lives in Indiana was here for two weeks and I do love to visit with her. We always shop when she comes. She says she can find so much more here than in Indiana. We did have fun and I got a lot of things on sale.

On Friday, August 8, I left for Paducah, KY area to help with my grandchildren. My daughter-in-law's mother passed away. I will miss my dear friend, Dorothy. She was a wonderful Christian lady and raised four great Christian children. She is missed and loved by many.

Now that I am home, I am concentrating on my writing. I think I have been reading one book for the last four weeks and I have not finished it yet. This week, I will be writing as much as I can. I want to finish the book by the end of the month.
